INDIANAPOLIS, August 16, 2016 – Mr. Blair Vandivier, President and CEO of Asterion, LLC was recently bestowed the distinction of Fellow by the National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF). The honor recognizes those NASF members that have made significant and lasting contributions through their leadership and dedicated service to the association and the surface finishing industry.
An industry veteran, Vandivier has been previously recognized by his peers, while earning the respect of his customers and competitors over a career that spans more than thirty years. Prior to being honored as an NASF Fellow, in 2008 Vandivier received the Silvio C. Taormina Memorial Award, the association’s most prestigious individual honor for exemplary service and invaluable contributions to the advancement of the surface finishing industry. He also received the Metal Finishing Suppliers’ Association (MFSA) August P. Munning Commemorative Award for his years of faithful service and many accomplishments to the MFSA and the finishing industry.
Vandivier said, “I am both honored and humbled to being named an NASF Fellow. It’s truly a privilege to be part of an association that works tirelessly to represent the interests of our industry. I am also grateful for the friendship and support of Team Asterion that made this distinction possible.”
Vandivier was a former member of the NASF Board of Directors (2012-2015), and also served as Chairman of the Supplier Committee (2010-2015). He most recently was the co-organizer of the highly successful “Plating Boot Camp,” at this year’s SUR/FIN Trade Show & Conference. He is an NASF Order of Past Presidents member.
